“Until your heart is black and blue?”
It was silly, but why the hell not?
“Yes,” they agreed, smiling. “Forever, until my heart is black and blue.”
And collectively they felt the humming, the way their bodies vibrated in tune with hers, sinking into each other, all of them becoming one. The way they felt about her in that moment, the love-lust, the feeling that there is nothing worth anything in the world but her. And when they kissed, a thousand mouths kissed one; and they all sank into the offered embrace, feeling wanted, safe, loved.

They had shared the moment, all of them together, that and a million other moments. Intimate moments shared intimately across the whole of their combined persona. They were separate, but still one, and Izaac knew that there was nothing that had ever felt more right. The switch had been flipped.
Except, maybe, that one moment, when the summits of cloud-shrouded mountains stared down at them over the tops of their white veil; that moment when it had just been the two of them, and there could have been no one else in the universe.
Acknowledgments
For those of you who took time out of your busy lives to read this story before it ever got to this point--please know that I could have never gotten here without your help. You know who you are. This should not be the first time I’ve thanked you nor the last because I cannot thank you enough!
About the Author
Peter is from a small town in Rhode Island. He spent his childhood always torn between the world around him and the worlds in his dreams—something that has stuck with him in his adult years. He has favorites: for authors it is George R.R. Martin, Jack Vance, and H.P. Lovecraft; for movies, Bladerunner stands alone. As happened to him, Peter hopes to one day write a story that will inspire someone else to take up the pen.
